How QR Codes can Grow Your Business

What are QR (Quick Response) codes and how can they help your business?

Should you create and print a QR code on your business card, postcards and other marketing material?

QR codes are expected to achieve widespread use this year – and for good reason.
Consumers want immediate access to what’s relevant and QR codes are being used to make that possible.

ExtraMilePrinting.com now offers clients the ability to generate and include QR (Quick Response) codes on their business cards, postcards, etc.

QR codes are like barcodes but can contain more information and are easier for camera phones to scan with a QR code application. The information encoded can be text, web URL or other data.

Companies want people to “like” the content that they post on Facebook.
This can greatly increase awareness of a brand and boost it’s reputation in a positive way.
Why not create a QR code that points to your Facebook “Like” button?

LinkedIn, a business oriented social media site, is developing a new mobile service called PingTags – currently in Beta.
You sign up via LinkedIn (www.pingtags.com) and it creates a QR code for you like the example on the left which links to your “PingTag” profile.

The PingTag is simply a mobile enabled page with all your relevant LinkedIn information but it comes with some nice tracking features.
For example, it not only tracks what the user clicks on your page but also attempts to determine the exact location of the user when they first scan it.

Putting a LinkedIn QR code on your business card is a great idea – and you don’t have to change the QR code if you change jobs or contact information, just update your LinkedIn entry.

ExtraMilePrinting.com now offers clients the ability to generate and include QR (Quick Response) codes on their business cards, postcards and other marketing material.

If you handed out business cards with a minimum amount of information — but with a QR code pointing to your profile on your company’s website — all the updated information would be available.

QR codes don’t have to point to a Website.
Instead, they can include data that pops up on your phone.
Some QR codes contain the same information as the business card — name, title, phone number, etc. — configured in the vCard data exchange format that can be integrated into phone and computer address books compatible with vCard.

When you next print business cards, why not include a QR code?

NEW (and Improved) Product Catalog

We’ve made some major changes to our website reently.

The most significant change is our new product catalog.
The new catalog provides a much “cleaner” user experience with much less clutter on screen.

Unfortunately, this changeover required issuing everyone new USER IDs and PASSWORDS.
We’re confident the new level of convenient access will more than make up for any temporary inconvenience caused by the changeover.

We have sent an email to everyone with an online profile in our old system.
The email contained your new USER ID and PASSWORD.
Please call or email us if you need us to resend this information to you.
You can also retrieve this information automatically online 24/7.
